This is an area where people often fail to ask these types of questions until something catastrophic happens.

Before you start to volunteer, take a few minutes to consider the potential risks. 

• Does a non-profit organization provide adequate insurance?  

• Do you have adequate insurance? 

• Will I be exposed to confidential information? 

• Will my work put me at risk for injuries? 

• What is my legal liability if I make a mistake?
